New Editor at The Rye Record

Tom McDermott, who has been a valued contributor at The Rye Record since 2010, was named Editor, effective this week.

Raised in Forest Hills Gardens, N.Y., Tom is a graduate of Fordham University. He is the former Director of Operations and Corporate Services at Time Inc., where he worked from 1989-2009. He started writing a blog, Rare Burghers, in 2009.

He joins Publisher Robin Jovanovich and Managing Editor Jon Craig and the rest of the Rye Record crew in celebrating our 17th year as Rye’s community newspaper.
