Heather and Max Byrne of Winnetka, Ill. Are pleased to announce the birth of a son, William Hanley Byrne on August 11, 2017 in Chicago. He weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces. Hanley, as he is called, joins sister Lottie.

He is the second grandchild of Mary Ellen and Bob Byrne of Rye and Lisa and John Gilligan of Carmel, Ind., and the second great-grandchild of Jayne and Bill Gilligan of Hinsdale, Ill.

Jesi and Andrew Baxter are thrilled to announce the birth of their first child, a daughter, <<Cora Lane Baxter>>, on August 10, 2017. She weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces.

Her maternal grandparents are Janice and Jan Fabry of Rye, and her maternal great-grandfather, Andy Llanes, lives in Yonkers. Her paternal grandparents are Candia and Bruce Baxter of Bath, New York, and her paternal great-grandparents are Martha and Raymond Baxter of Genesee, Pennsylvania.

Robertson — O’Halloran

Laura M. Robertson and Garry E. O’Halloran Jr. of Rye were married March 25, 2017 in Troy, New York. Close to 175 friends and family members attended the candlelit winter wedding held in a renovated Dutch barn.

The bride is a LEED accredited professional specializing in interior design and construction at TPG Architecture in Manhattan. The groom is a civil engineer at D&B Engineers & Architects in Harrison.

On their honeymoon, they experienced Alaska in all its wildness by helicopter, plane, train, and boat, before ending their 17-day trip on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, at an oceanfront resort.

Charlotte Rodes Gerrish and Simon Emlyn Koster were married on June 24, 2017 at The University Club in New York City. The Rev. Daniel Love performed the ceremony.

The bride, 31, is a second grade teacher at St. Bernard’s School in New York City. She graduated from Bates College and received a Master’s degree in Education from Manhattanville College. She is the daughter of Jannie and Campbell Gerrish of Rye. The bride’s father is a principal and founder of the Winged Keel Group. Her mother is an art consultant.

The groom, 36, is a partner at JDS Development Group. He graduated from Rutgers and received a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is the son of Maryse and Emlyn Koster of Raleigh, North Carolina. The groom’s father is Director of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.

The bride and groom were both leaders for Overland, an outdoor adventure company based in Williamstown, Mass. They never led a trip together, but were introduced by mutual friends.

The bride and groom honeymooned in Canada, doing things they love to do together, mountain biking, hiking, and surfing. They reside in New York City.

Jena and Rich Goetze welcomed their first child, a son, <<Cole Richard Goetze>>, into the world on August 13, 2017. He weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces.

His maternal grandparents are Janice and Jan Fabry of Rye, and his maternal great-grandfather is Andy Llanes. His paternal grandparents are Debbie and Rick Goetze of Belle Mead, N.J., and his paternal great-grandmother is Claire Goetze.

Goodenough — Schumacher

Kyle Idel Goodenough and Austin James Schumacher were married June 17, 2017 at the Shenorock Shore Club in Rye. Rev. Daniel H. Love officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Andrew and Susan Goodenough of Rye. She works at Google’s headquarters office in Mountain View, California, where she is product marketing manager for the Pixel phone. She graduated from Middlebury College.

The groom is the son of Joan Andrews of Bethel, Connecticut, and Mel Schumacher of Tequesta, Florida. He is head of entertainment marketing at Lyft, a ride-sharing company based in San Francisco. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis.

The bride grew up in Rye and the groom in Greenwich, but it took a trans-continental move for the couple to meet.

Following a honeymoon in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, the couple returned to their home in San Francisco.
