Quality Time with Veterans

Members of Rye Country Day School's Linus Committee visited patients with spinal cord injuries April 15 at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx. The Upper School students brought along lap blankets they'd sewn themselves, which they presented to wheelchair-bound veterans. The Linus Committee is part of the school's Community Action Organization.
The group also served the veterans lunch and spent time talking with them. The school's a capella group, The Sno Cones, performed.
