A Gilded Affair

School of the Holy Child celebrated 50 years in Rye during its 20th annual auction, April 26 at Westchester Country Club. The night's theme, “As Good As Gold”, acknowledged the school's golden anniversary, but also honored Elizabeth T. Marren, former Chair of the Board, who was presented with the Holy Child Medal.
While Marren was chair, the school saw unprecedented growth financially and in its facilities, including the renovation and expansion of the library and the addition of a new wing of classrooms. During her tenure, the school began the renovation of St. Walburga's Chapel and planning for Gryphon Field, both completed last fall.
