October is Breast Cancer month and, accordingly, the Rye Library is hosting An Update on Breast Cancer, Thursday, October 2, at 6:30 p.m. The program will offer the latest important findings on diagnosis, treatment and management. Learn the art of self-defense through non-contact Tae Kwon Do Karate. Karate teaches self-discipline and self-control, and improves balance and focus. Ages first grade to adult are welcome. Classes are Mondays, October 6 through June, from 7-8:30 p.m. or Saturdays, October 4 through June, from noon to 1:30 p.m. All sessions held at Damiano Recreation Center.
