Being a “locavore” is becoming a lot easier in Rye these days. Milton School recently joined along with Osborn and Midland in establishing school vegetable gardens. Now, instead of saying “the dog ate my homework,” kids can say that they ate their homework.

Parson Street Players Take It Outdoors with “Alice in Wonderland”

Riding the crest of the ambitious and successful production of “Les Misérables” in March, the Parson Street Players will present “Alice in Wonderland” June 12 and 13 outdoors in the round in the Rye High School courtyard.

Cooking with Fractions

Students in Stephanie Pennella's fourth-grade class at Midland applied their math lesson (multiplying fractions) to a real-life situation last week. Ms. Pennella gave her class recipes for waffles and chocolate cake, and brought the ingredients into the classroom.
