Rye Town Park and the Friends of Rye Town Park will present a series of five free concerts at the south pavilion this summer.
When Rye Town Park opened to the public in June 1909, popular songs that year included “By The Light of the Silvery Moon”, “I Wonder Who’s Kissing Her Now,” and “She Sells Sea Shells.”

The concerts will be held on consecutive Tuesdays starting June 30. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. Parking is free at the park after 6 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays. Some seating will be available, but people are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. The concerts will be held rain or shine. Picnicking is welcome, and dining is available at nearby Seaside Johnnie’s restaurant.
