Y Gymnasts Scores High at Regionals; Ellie Garland Places 1st All Around

The Rye YMCA gymnastics team competed with 43 other northeastern YMCAs at the Regional Championships in Glen Falls, May 16 and 17. The team returned with several trophies, plenty of great memories and confidence about the approaching National Championships.

Here are some of the highlights:

Level 4

Ellie Garland placed 1st all around with a 9.5 on vault, 9.6 on bars, 9.15 on beam, 9.45 on floor.

Miffy Riley placed 2nd all around with an 8.6 on vault, 9.25 on bars, 9.45 on beam, 9.6 on floor.

Debbie Musselman placed 3rd all around with a 9.2 on vault, 9.4 on bars, 8.875 on beam, 8.575 on floor.

Lyndsey Will placed 4th all around with a 9.375 on vault, 8.825 on bars, 8.85 on beam, 8.65 on floor.

Emily Miccuili scored an 8.8 on vault, 9.3 on bars, 8.8 on beam, 8.85 on floor.
Rachel Waxenberg scored an 8.57 on vault, 9.2 on bars, 8.9 on beam, 8.7 on floor. Colleen DeConcini scored an 8.8 on vault, 8.65 on bars, 8.725 on beam, 8.65 on floor.
Hannah Yeager scored an 8.9 on vault, 8.875 on bars, 8.85 on beam, 8.05 on floor.
Level 5

Chloe Schettino placed 1st on vault with a 9.15, 8.1 on bars, 8.3 on beam, 8.8 on floor.

Alexandra Murphy placed 3rd on beam with a 9.425, 8.55 on floor, 8.5 on vault, 8.125 on bars.

Shelia Moran scored an 8.05 on vault, 8.525 on floor.
