Rye Neck High School garnered 11 Helen Hayes High School Theater nominations for “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” Cast and crew members are heading to the Paramount Theater in Peekskill for this year's awards ceremony June 11. Director Patricia Rinello is thrilled for her kids. “Not only were our leads nominated, but our large group numbers were recognized as well and that makes me most proud,” she said.
Rye Neck's nominations include: Outstanding overall production of a musical; outstanding production number; outstanding performance by a chorus; outstanding lobby display; Isabel Richardson (Millie) for outstanding performance by an actress in a leading role; Lauren Amrhein (Dorothy) for outstanding performance by an actress in a supporting role; Albert Paez (Mr. Graydon) for outstanding performance by an actor in a supporting role; Jeanette Haviland (Muzzy) for outstanding vocal performance; Nick Gorski and Frank Pisco (Ching Ho and Bun Foo) for an outstanding cameo role; Deborah Saphr-Puja for outstanding choreography
