Learn about another creature of flight and beauty, during the “Observing Butterflies” workshop Saturday, June 16, 1 p.m. Hundreds of butterflies are attracted to Read Sanctuary due to the plethora of food sources. They will discuss basic butterfly ecology and recognition, and take a walk to see what species are present. Binoculars will be provided. For more information, call 967-8720.

Pre-season and season openings for the Playland Pool  begin June 9. The pool will be open weekends only through June 17 and daily beginning June 23, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The cost for adults is $4, children (ages 5-11) $3, senior citizens $2.
