Still a Thrill

A sure sign of spring in Rye is Mayfair, held annually the first weekend in May at Playland. Local residents enjoy Rye's wonderful little amusement park without crowds and lines and the blazing heat of a summer day.

Though the weather was chilly, kids of all ages queued up to the Dragon Coaster for second, third, and fourth-time rides after waiting three long seasons for the thrill.
