Don’t Miss …

One tour no one likes to miss is the annual Rye High School House Tour, Friday, May 16, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year, five very different style homes are featured, from an early 19th century Colonial to a waterfront estate, to a brand-new Adirondack style Colonial, where the luncheon and boutique will be held.
Take the tour Friday, May 16. Tickets are $45 for the tour alone, $65 for the tour and lunch. Tickets are available at Rye realtor offices.
This year, the Rye Free Reading Room will combine its annual book sale with its annual picnic. Butterfield the library owl will be on hand to greet everyone Sunday, May 18, noon to 3 p.m.
Books, videos, DVDs, CDs and audio books will be available for purchase at bargain prices. This year there will be a special focus on rare and collectible items.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to buy books and media for the library’s collection and to fund programs for children, teens and adults.

Little ones will enjoy playing games on the Village Green, and live music from the Chuck Rollins Band will delight young and old. Picnic fare will include hot dogs, Longford’s ice cream and beverages.
