Host Families Needed for Exchange Program
In our last issue, we featured a story about Rye's exchange students from the YES program, a State Department-sponsored program created after 9/11, to bring students to the U.S. from countries with a significant Muslim population to study for a year. The YES program is looking for host families for next year for a boy from Ghana, a girl from Saudi Arabia and a girl from Egypt.
If your family is interested in learning about a new culture and helping a foreign student learn about life in America, call Nicole Zahour at 921-1890 or visit www.yesprograms.org.

See You at the Fairs
Families don't have to travel far to go on safari. Let Midland School take you there at its spring fair Saturday, April 21, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Play games, win prizes and even get your face painted to look like your favorite safari animal.
The fair is a major fund-raiser for the Midland PTO, which provides funding for after-school clubs, art and music programs. For information, call 925-0753.
Lift off for outer space at the Milton School Fair Saturday, April 28, 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Milton School was renovated in 2006, so the theme of this year's fair is "Milton Explores New Space." In addition to traditional activities like crafts, face painting and games, the fair will also feature a laser light show, an interactive robot, a rock climbing wall, and a rocket ship inflatable with an obstacle course inside.
The fair raises money for the Milton PTO, to fund field trips, cultural events and after-school clubs. Call 967-1590.
