Y Walk?

Rye High and Middle School students can win a prize – up to $100 cash – by creating a Public Service Announcement video that encourages students to walk or ride bikes to school.

In the two categories, middle or high school, there will be three winners: $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd, and $25 for 3rd. Contestants’ videos will be judged on their creativity in answering the question: Why walk to and from school?

The first-place winner’s video will be featured on the Rye YMCA’s website and Rye TV. If you need a camera, contact Nicole Levitsky at nlevitsky@ryeny.gov. The deadline is May 1. Entries should be dropped off at the Rye TV Studio at Rye High School.

The contest is sponsored by the Safe Routes to School Committee of Rye and the Rye YMCA.
