Planning Underway for Rye Historical’s Spring Celebration

On the evening of March 31, a group of enthusiastic volunteers came together at the Square House to start planning the Rye Historical Society’s “Spring Celebration”. Led by RHS President Laura Brett and aided by “Celebration” co-chairs, Jeanine Scott and Luana Murno, the evening proved to be a huge success with many volunteers offering their time and services to help make this year’s celebration a fun-filled evening.

“We want everyone to mark their calendars and come to the Spring Celebration on May 9,” said Brett. “We are so excited to be honoring four people who have done so much for the preservation of history in Rye — Gene McGuire, Susan Morison and Carol and Peter Sellon.

Mindful of the economic climate, the live and silent auctions will include smaller, group sign-up items that are an ideal way for getting friends together.

Look for an invitation in the mail or call the Square House at 967-7588 to secure your place. Call the same number if you are interested in volunteering your time or services for the “Spring Celebration” or joining the Square House Circle.
