Want to play a mean guitar? Rye Rec is offering a spring series of lessons (April 15-June 3) for grades 5-12. Session I for beginners with some experience runs from 5-6 p.m.; Session II for real beginners runs from 6-7 p.m. Call 967-2535.

Award-winning storyteller Motoko will enchant children of all ages with “Sumo Mice and Power Rice: Tales & Games from Japan” at the Rye library Community Meeting Room Saturday, April 25, 2-3:30 p.m. Her folktales from her native country are leavened with music, games, mime, and humor.
