Kobayashi Jams with The Best of Them

Competing against snowboarders from around the world, Mount Snow Academy student Karen Kobayashi, 13, of Rye who attends Rye Country Day School spring and fall, took fifth among girls in the half pipe event at the USSA Junior Jam Open March 22 at Stratton Mountain, Vt. The Junior Jam, open to competitors 13 and under, is part of the 27th Annual Burton US Open, a premier event for competitive boarders.
