By moving a few walls in this 1969 home, one Rye homeowner was able to create a functional, stylish and spacious kitchen/family room that everyone in her family of five wants to spend time in. The wondrous water views help. And when company comes, they hide the dishes in the pantry.

Rye designer Amy Swank helped in the decision-making. The custom-made kitchen table is from Casa Hermosa. The teak cabinets were made by John Carlucci. The rug is from Carpet Trends. The sofa and chairs are from Kreiss. The backsplash is onyx. The countertops are limestone
