Weddings Monroe-Vaughan

Jessica Anna Monroe and William John Vaughan were married July 8 at Mead Memorial Chapel at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vt. A reception followed at the Waybury Inn in East Middlebury. The bride, 26, is the daughter of Douglas Monroe, of Houston, and Deborah Monroe of Rye. The groom, 27, is the son of Robert and Diane Vaughan of Little Silver, N.J.

The maid of honor was Jennifer Gilmartin, the bride's friend since childhood. The best man was Steven Leschuk, the groom's high school friend since high school.

The bride graduated from Rye High School in 1998 and Middlebury College in 2002. She also received her master's degree in science education from New York University in 2006. She is a middle school science teacher at Poly Prep Country Day in Brooklyn.

The groom graduated from Red Bank Regional High School in Little Silver in 1997 and Middlebury College in 2001. He is pursuing his master's degree in administrative science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a paramedic for Jersey City (NJ) Medical Center Emergency Medical Services and a consultant in emergency management.

They met in a dorm lounge in college while watching the 2000 World Series. They were among a handful of Yankee fans in a decidedly pro-Red Sox group.

Last summer, they honeymooned briefly in the Florida Keys. They are taking a “real” honeymoon this spring in the Turks and Caicos. They live in Hoboken, N.J.

Births

Kerri and Joe Sack announce the birth of a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Sack Jan. 12 at Greenwich Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 inches.  She joins big sisters Katie and Allie. Her maternal grandparents are Richard and Florence Law of Manhasset. Her paternal grandparents, Randi and Joe Sack, live in Briarcliff Manor.

 

 

 

 

Laura and Christopher Pellegrini announce the birth of a son, Matthew Paul Pellegrini, Nov. 5 at Greenwich Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces. He joins big brother Daniel. His maternal grandparents are Pat and Brenda Iorillo of Rye. His paternal grandfather, Deacon Guy Pellegrini, lives in Yonkers.

 

 

 

A Golden Couple

Marie and Michael Vitetta celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Whitby Castle last month. The couple was married Feb. 10, 1957 at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. Their anniversary party was a multi-generational affair. Their sons gave them a trip to Naples, Fla., as a gift.
