Resident Arrested Out of State for Indecent Exposure
Retired minister and Rye resident Donald Poole Sr., 68, was arrested in Key West, Fla., for indecent exposure in public. He and another man, 61, were arrested by two undercover officers in a public park investigating complaints of lewd behavior.
The lead detective in the case stated: “These violations occurred in the mid-afternoon, when children usually frequent and enjoy park activities.” Mr. Poole has not been an active minister for two decades.
3/2: Officers responded to Martin Road after report that 47-year-old female was having a seizure. Husband of victim stated that before going to bed his wife had complained of a headache. When officers arrived, victim was breathing on her own but semi-conscious. She was transported to Greenwich Hospital.
3/4: Complainant had verbal argument with his father that escalated into a physical altercation at his mother's residence. The confrontation was over a photo that the mother found on complainant's camera. The father came over and physically assaulted son. Domestic incident report filed.
3/6: Two cans of baby formula stolen from CVS. Complainant stated that two minutes prior to calling the police, an offender wearing a black wool cap, black Full-length bomber jacket and blue jeans was seen taking items on surveillance. Officer's search of immediate area yielded negative results.
3/6: Three-year-old victim having trouble breathing at Milton Road residence. Officers and EMS dispatched to scene; EMS transported victim to Greenwich Hospital.
3/8: Suspicious person reported on Wainwright Street property. Complainant stated that while waiting to pick her child up, a thin male driving a red sedan approached her, identifying himself as an undercover police officer. She had not seen this person before and felt something wrong after he quickly flashed her a badge. When officers arrived, the subject was identified as a 37-year-old Wainwright Street resident. He stated he told complainant he was a member of the Rye Fire Police. Officers confiscated his badge and identification for further investigation.
3/8: Westchester County Police reported a hit and run on Bronx River Parkway involving a vehicle from Rye's jurisdiction. They recovered a damaged, abandoned vehicle, which was registered to owner residing at Theodore Fremd Avenue. Owner interviewed and stated vehicle was taken from its parking space between 4:30 p.m. March 7 and 4 a.m. March 8.
3/9: Franklin Avenue resident reported verbal harassment and being threatened by her husband. Officers dispatched to scene, where complainant stated they were having a verbal dispute, but no physical contact occurred.
3/9: Victim claimed $26 was taken from her wallet at a building on Macy Road. The wallet had been left on a chair. The complainant did not wish to fill out owner's deposition or make formal report.
3/11: Caller stated she was having problems with her son, and that he was out of control. Officers requested transportation of son to Greenwich or Four Winds Hospital.
3/12: Officers responded to Milton Road apartment where a female was having allergic reaction. Upon arrival, officers spoke to victim, who stated she ate peanut butter and subsequently broke out in hives. Victim transported to Greenwich Hospital.
3/12: Hillside Place resident stated she was receiving anonymous phone calls. She complained she had been receiving these calls for several months, always in early a.m. Victim will monitor calls and report further developments.
3/12: Officers dispatched to Franklin Avenue residence on a call of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, one of the parties involved stated that while he was waiting for the police to arrive, his wife pushed him down the stairs. Husband was in pain but no signs of trauma evident. EMS was dispatched and arrived on scene. Complainant was treated, but did not wish to go to hospital.
3/14: Mamaroneck resident complained he found two windows of his Acura smashed by two big rocks, which were lying on front seat of vehicle. The car was parked on Milton Road.
3/14: Complainant stated he lost his Handicap Permit, issued by the City of Rye, somewhere within Rye.
