Onwards & Upwards
Tennis great Gene Scott, just before he died last spring, decided to reinvent Tennis Week, the magazine he founded 32 years ago. He met with IMG, the sports marketing company, and began working with them to create a new look for the magazine.
The first issue is out and on newsstands. It's quite a change, with pictures of Maria Sharapova, all decked out for a party, and plenty coverage on the look and style of the players, on and off the courts. The theme: “Tennis is Back in Fashion.”
Tennis Week, long run out of 15 Elm Place in Rye, is now located at 420 W. 45 St. in Manhattan.
