Rye City Democratic Committee
To Honor Careys and Moores
The Rye City Democratic Committee is holding its 2007 Max Berking Awards Brunch Sunday, March 25, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Coveleigh Club. The committee will be honoring longtime Rye residents Patricia and John Carey, and Katherine and David Moore for their years of service to Rye and the greater Westchester community.
The honorees will receive the special Max Berking Award for distinguished service, named in remembrance of the late Rye resident Max Berking (1917-1997). Mr. Berking had a long career of distinguished public service, and his love of and enthusiasm for the democratic process served as an inspiration to all who knew him.
Tickets for the event are $100 per person, but the committee is offering a special discount to newly registered Rye Democrats (2006/07) of $50 per person. For further information about the event or to register, call RCDC Chair Doug McKean at 921-2321 or e-mail RyeNYDemocrats@aol.com.
