Daniel Pelgrift, 13, was named to the Harvey School Headmaster’s List for the fall term. To be selected, a student needs to earn a GPA of 3.7 or higher for the term. Daniel is an eighth grader.

A Bright Future for Rye Neck’s Young Economists

Rye Neck High School seniors Daniel Cannon and Brian Santoro recently won the regional Stock Market Game. Placing first out of 441 teams, the students not only competed against classmates in their economics class but also against students throughout Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Dutchess and Orange Counties.

Chris La Vigna, a junior at Rye Neck High School, won second place in the New York Civil Liberties Union’s Bill of Rights essay/poetry contest.

Rye Neck Seniors Met the Challenge
Seniors at Rye Neck participated in the U.S. Department of the Treasury's fall 2008 National Financial Literacy Challenge, an initiative recommended by the President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy.

And the Rye Neck Logo Award Winner Is…
Rye Neck High School sophomore Katie Doong has won the third annual spring fair logo contest. Her design will be showcased at the Rye Neck PTSA 2009 Spring Fair to be held March 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Middle/High School campus.

Community Calendar

A Special Week at Rye Country Day

Every December, Rye Country Day School students of all ages take part in Generosity Week. The bulk of the activities are sponsored by Upper School students and clubs, but the Lower and Middle Schools participate in the toy drive for WestHELP Greenburgh and the Coat Drive for New York Cares.


The Rye High School Vocal Ensemble, the singing sensation led by Todd Beaney, gave back to the community during the holiday season. They delighted audiences at many nursing homes and senior centers. And they were asked to give two performances at the Doral Arrowwood.
