Recent Recruit Grads

The newest members of the City of Rye Police Department, Police Officers Debralee Hart and David Casale, graduated from 126th Session Basic Police Recruit Class of the Westchester County Police Academy December 19. The officers completed the rigorous twenty-week curriculum in Law, Police Science, Firearms, Defensive Tactics, Physical Education, and other topics essential to preparing them for their new careers.

“The Department congratulates and welcomes Officers Casale and Hart to active duty,” said Police Commissioner William Connors. “They stood out above other candidates for the position, and I believe they will be great additions to the Department. I have told them of the high standards we will expect them to meet.”
For the next several months, Officers Casale and Hart will be assigned to the Department’s field training program, a structured curriculum designed to familiarize newly hired officers with the community and Departmental procedures under the guidance of experienced officers.
