Especially for Seniors

The Senior Activities in a Jewish Environment (SAJE) group at Community Synagogue is sponsoring two noontime programs this month. On Thursday, January 22, the speaker is Arlene R. Popkin, Chair, New York Civil Liberties Union, Lower Hudson Valley Chapter. She is a senior trial attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Westchester County, and has been actively involved in working for equal rights, freedom, justice and peace, supporting the values found in the Bill of Rights throughout her career.

Graciela Heymann, Executive Director of the Westchester Hispanic Coalition, is the speaker Thursday, January 29.

The Coalition is the leading agency for advocating, educating and representing Latinos in Westchester County. Heymann is bilingual and bicultural and is originally from Caracas, Venezuela.
